Hi! I’m Debbie Schurr--often answering to the name “Debs”. I am a wife to a Military Man, a mother to 2 crazy “Littles”, a Photography-Ninja (nicknamed because I’m known for jumping and climbing all over the place to get the shot I want!), and a Veteran of the Air Force. I’m a tattoo addict who wishes she had enough money to pay for the habit, I believe that hair color should be anything but boring, Superheroes exist in the real world as well as Comic Books and Movies, and that chocolate can heal many wounds! I moved to Philadelphia in 2004 from Colorado--and, while my artists’ eye is happiest in the big city, my heart yearns to move back out West (back to Colorado, if given the choice!). However, since I’m living here in the city until further notice, this has given me the travel bug! I’m always on the lookout for somewhere new and exciting to go, that might just have that hidden gem just waiting to be photographed! As a Photographer, I tend to see things differently. I see beauty where others see destruction. Where people see flaws--I see perfection. I use my photographs to show others what I see. Whether its vibrant colors splashed (or sprayed!) on a wall by a stranger, or the subtle, yet sassy, beauty shown in a portrait, I strive to capture it. Hey! I'm Debbie (Debs, Deb, Deborah....whichever), and I'm the face behind the camera of MaydayMayhem Photography. I may live in Philly, but my mind is anywhere else about 98% of the time.

Most days find me awake entirely too early, coffee cup in hand, driving my artistic Freshman to school, and reading texts from my College Sophomore about his most recent D&D campaign. Don't be jealous of my glamorous life!

I love stories. Reading them and telling them. Everyone has their own story to tell! Sure, they may think it's boring, but secretly it's fascinating!

I usually sport Blue Hair (although, admittedly, it's been a hot minute since then)
Sarcasm is my native language, and Puns are my brand of humor
I believe that Gryffindor is the best house to belong to (fight me)

I *may* be guilty of looking for Narnia every chance I can get
Clowns are the most terrifying thing. Ever.
I survived Air Force Boot Camp...on Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches!
I was an Assistant Machine Gunner, and have fired a Grenade Launcher
