Every person I photograph becomes "family" to me. Like, I'll probably bug you all the time if we get to know one another (ok, not seriously, but I do like to pop in and say hi all the time!). So, when I actually get the chance to photograph my actual family, it's such a treat! Its so fun for me to spend one-on-one time with them, to find out about what's going on, see how they're doing, see how school/sports/etc is going when there isn't the craziness of my kids running around, or dinner on the table!
And, this was such a special year for Tommy. He's 13. That means Bar Mitzvah time! He has grown SO much, and it's so amazing to see. He's not only handsome (as you can see--I'm his aunt, I can totally embarrass him!), but he's smart, kind, athletic, and has a HUGE heart. This kid is truly going to go far in life. And I can only hope that he holds on to his curiosity, his kindness, and his genuine love of helping others.
Just keep making me proud with all the geeky-awesomeness!!!!
